About the Founder:
Melissa Bloom is a writer, writing coach, and certified yoga instructor with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and creating. She spent much of her life setting and achieving goals, but after suffering countless burnouts throughout her academic and early career, she began to slow down and explore the connection between productivity and wellness.
Through a regular practice of yoga, mindfulness, healthy eating, and self-care, she learned tools that allowed her to not only step off the hamster wheel, but also create a sustainable lifestyle and routine conducive to achieving her goals. She is passionate about sharing her evolving knowledge and showing others that the all-or-nothing mindset is not the only path to success.
Ever the creative, Melissa studied film, animation, and writing at the University of Southern California, where she ultimately graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinematic Arts Critical Studies. She has worked on award winning and nominated TV shows, commercials, short films, and feature films. In 2015, she co-founded fine jewelry company Lane + Lanae with her sister. She holds her 200-hour yoga certification and yin yoga certification from Prana Yoga Center and is registered with the Yoga Alliance.
A native San Diegan, Melissa lived in the Los Angeles hustle for ten years with brief stints in Boston, Massachusetts and Berlin, Germany. She is happy to currently be back to her roots in San Diego, where she continues to strive for balance in all areas of her life.
